Bling It On DT Card

Well it is October already and it is time for another challenge at Bling It On.....

This month the challenge is NO PATTERNED PAPERS, this includes making your own, you can use embossed card though!

Here is my effort.................

The image is by Maurie Manning coloured with pro markers, card embossed with cuttlebug swiss dots folder. Flowers and gems from stash. Sentiments created on PC.

Bling It On Challenge DT Card

Hello there me again!

This time I want to share with you my DT card for the Bling It On challenge #6. This month it is Sioux's turn to choose the theme and she has chosen ABC.

We also have some new teamies on the DT so pop on over and meet the new team.

For my card I have chosen:

A = Aubergine
B = Bride
C = Circle

The circle is actually embossed but it is not a great photo. I used aubergine ink for the stamp and colouring the embossing and aubergine ribbon from stash. Flowers and pins are from WIld Orchid Crafts. Pearls from stash.

You have until the end of August to enter the challenge so go on have a go!

Make It Colourful Challenge

For anyone who was wondering.............yes I am still alive! Life has been hectic here and it is now definite that I will be losing my job in two months so hopefully when I have a new job things will settle down.

Anyway I have finally been brave and decided to enter the Make It Colourful challenge, this is a tough challenge for me as it is always based on colouring and i am still practicing lol

The challenge this week is colouring characters with dark skin. I didnt make this image into a card as I am not sure what card to make.

I used the Disco Diva from Kenny K and tried to go for a 70's look with purple hair etc!

For a first attempt I am quite pleased with her.

Now on to a card I made with Daisy, I have loved this stamp for ages and for some reason very rarely use her.

Here is what I made with her:

I coloured her with promarkers and the papers are from First Edition, the spring collection. Ribbon and doily from stash. Pins from Wild Orchid Crafts. Sentiment is a LOTV one stamped with Tim Holtz distress inks. Her top is actually pink although it looks orange in this picture.

Kenny K - Maddison

Here is another card I made at Sundays meet. I love this image she is one of my current favourites by Kenny K.

I made this card for an order for a lady at work, the remit was a gorgeous brunette who likes to shop!


I coloured the image with pro markers, the ovals are cut with the cuttlebug and the scalloped mat is embossed with the bug too. Lace trim is from stash, flowers from WOC and Victorian binding is WOC too. Papers are my current favourites from First Edition.

Different Kind of Card

Hello there,

It was Crafty Devils meet today and I set the challenge of a monochromatic, male card that had to have 2 layers but no DP's!! Yes, everyone hates me!

This was also a different type of card for me as I was trying to get a sepia look. Would love to know what you think of my attempt!


I used my new Grand Calibur to emboss a panel big enough to cover a 6" card blank card, the first layer is the argylle Mica Mask and the circle is big squares, both are then coloured with distressed inks. I also distressed all of the edges.

I coloured the Sugar Nellie image with promarkers, satin, tan and cinammon. The ticket is from Tim Holtz.

One Stop Craft Challenge DT Card

Hello everyone,

Well here I am again and again apologies for not being around much!

This weeks challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge is In Stitches. The sponsor is Diane's Digital Delights.


This is my first attempt at using a sewing machine on a card, I am hoping the bad stitching fits in with the "distressed" look of the card! I have also combined some colours I havent really used before.

Well on to my second posting of the day!

As you know there are no digital images at LIIU so I used a Tilda stamp and coloured her with promarkers. I combined her with an all white challenge and just embossed the layers. Flower lace and crystals are from my stash.

Thinking Of You

Hi everyone.

Well I was giving a tough order today for a card for a lady who is starting chemo for breast cancer on Monday. Her boss wanted a card that didnt trivialise what she had but also didnt pretend it wasnt happening.

I got the cure for Katie images from Stamp Insanity and this is what I came up with.


I stayed with pink as it is the breast cancer colour, I coloured the image with pro markers. Papers are old bits from my bit box lol. Flowers and pins from Wild Orchid Crafts. Doilie and lace from stash too. Image and sentiment from Stamp Insanity.

Very First Let's Ink It Up DT Card!!

Hello everyone,

Apologies for the late posting of this card, I have been having computer problems all day!

It is time for the LIIU fortnightly challenges with the new DT (some of the original ladies are still on the team too) and that gives me the chance to show you my first DT card.

Challenge #10 is "show us your embossing"

I used the Sugar Nellie stamp "JOY" I thought she was so adorable and I love her even more now she is coloured.


I didnt use any dp on this card but I did use a Marianne embossing stencil which I sponged with distress inks to make a backgeound. The panels are embossed using the cuttlebug and edged with distress inks. Flowers are from Wild orchid Crafts, pins from stash. Image coloured with promarkers cool greys 1- 5.

Dreamy Days

Good evening everyone,

Here I am with another order this time for a male card. I used the lovely little boy from LOTV.


I coloured the images with promarker, cut out and embossed with my circle nesties and then added colour with distress inks. The papers are old ones that I have had for ages. Buttons and string from stash. Can you tell I forgot to distress the image?? I had to do it while it was on the card an then forgot to take a piccie lol

Last Craft Your Passion GD Card

Well my time on the Craft Your Passion GD team has come to an end and this is my last card.

I was given a Coco Dingo image to use and here is what I came up with..................
